I know I’m a little late with this particular post but have been up to my eyeballs trying to keep up with things. Any of you out there that are into Internet Marketing or for that matter running any kind of business know exactly what I’m talking about. I feel like a swimmer that just finished competing in a triathlon and is completely exhausted and now my coach is making me swim the English Channel. I’m just trying to keep my head above water and it’s tough.

Everyone is looking for the easy way to get in on the Money Train on the Internet. Although there is no easy way to make money online one of the best ways for someone to get in on the action is through Affiliate Marketing.

Here is my 9 step process to get into Affiliate Marketing with as little money out of pocket as possible.

STEP 1. Find a Niche
You must find something that you are an expert in or passionate enough about in order to do the necessary research that will be required to properly promote a product. Get a piece of paper and write down all the things you are interested in. You will be surprised at how big your list will be.

One of the biggest obstacles the Newbie Affiliate Marketer must overcome is not being focused. This may sound funny at first but as you read along you will begin to understand why it is absolutely critical that you remain focused on the task at hand or you will never succeed as an affiliate marketer.

Affiliate Marketing is the way to go in my opinion, and if you are just starting out trying to make money online, list building is an absolute must if you intend on making enough money to stay in business.

I would venture a guess that almost every affiliate marketer starts out at Clickbank picking a product to promote, gets their Clickbank affiliate link and then runs to Google Adwords and gives pay-per-click a try. What most people start out doing is driving traffic straight to the merchant’s website. If you make a sale you get a pretty hefty commission, usually 50%-75% and you are happy as a pig in you know what. The whole problem with trying to make money in this manner is that when you finally do make a sale that’s it, you will never see that customer again.

Affiliate Marketing can be a great way to make money online and has proven to be one of the easiest ways to make money online unless of course you are what they call a “Newbie”.

The first thing the Newbie does is go straight to Google and types in the phrase “affiliate marketing”, thinking they will be magically guided to a few web pages where they can get some instant answers. Much to their dismay, they are starring at search results 1 – 10 of about 14,400,000 web pages. WOW, I didn’t expect that.
