Follow-up On How I Plan On Driving Traffic To My Blog
Back on Dec 23, 2008 I made a post here on how I was going to drive traffic to my blog. Well, I can tell you that I have done everything I said I was going to do except join Squidoo. And I did start to see an increase in traffic. Now before I say anymore or post an image of my results I want to state that in an earlier post I did say I would keep you up to date on how I was doing, good or bad.
This is how I was doing just a couple weeks after starting Alex Jeffreys coaching program.

Well here they are now and as you can see they are not too good.

Now why would I post something like this that will do nothing but make me look bad. Well, because I told you I would. But the real reason I want you to see this is to see what happens to ANYONE when they lose focus.
I’ve been really struggling lately. I’ve been going in several different directions thus I’m not really getting anything accomplished.
Well, as most of you know, I’m a student of Alex Jeffreys. Way back in the beginning of his coaching program he told us to make a plan. I did that, and broke it down into quarterly and then a monthly plan. but I stopped there. I should have kept going and broke it down to a weekly plan.
He also told us to write a daily journal of what we actually accomplished each day. Something else I didn’t think I needed to succeed. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
I recently started a daily journal and also broke down my plan to a weekly plan so when I sit down at my computer everyday I know exactly what it is I’m supposed to do that day. I even downloaded some software that’s acts as a timekeeper. I’ve got it setup to play songs from my favorite band Aerosmith, to let me know that it’s time to stop working on that particular task and move on to the next one.
I’m totally shocked at the difference it’s made. For one, I’ve noticed how non-productive I really was. Sure I was busy but busy doing what. According to my journal I didn’t do much.
I should have known better. I should have listened to Alex Jeffreys and done exactly what he told me to do. After all, he’s the expert teaching me. That’s why I joined his coaching program to begin with because I was struggling on my own and I knew I needed a mentor.
So I paid for Alex Jeffreys help and then I don’t listen to him. How stupid is that.
So Alex, if you can hear me out there, I’m sorry I didn’t listen to you but I’m back on track now. I’m not saying I won’t screw up again as I’m sure I will but as long as I learn from it and move forward I know everything will be OK.
In closing, my advice to other Alex Jeffreys students, and anybody else out there, is that don’t think you don’t need a plan and your daily journal. You will be sorely mistaken and you will end up as I did and be spinning your wheels and not going anywhere fast.
til next time…
