Happy New Year to everyone.

I wonder how many people are still in bed this morning nursing a hangover. I hope it was worth it. I feel just fine this morning. The strongest thing I had to drink last night was a glass of Sprite.

I’m sitting at my kitchen table sipping on a nice hot cup of coffee trying not to think about what it’s like outside. But incase anyone else is wondering, it’s 5 degrees below 0 and during the night wind gusts up to 40mph. I don’t know what that translates to as far as wind chill but I’ve been living here long enough to know that’s freakin cold. On top of that, we got another foot of snow yesterday.

On the bright side, the wind has calmed down, the sun is shining and it has stopped snowing finally. If it sounds like I’m whining about the weather here you’re right on, that’s because I can’t stand winter.

If you’ve been reading my blog at all you will see in other posts that the last few weeks here have been hell as far as the weather goes.

I just have to keep telling myself that in 4 months I’ll be standing in a river catching trout when ever I feel like it. That’s what gets me through these New England winters.

til next time…
